Akaroa & The Bays : our destination after the 1st day of driving
A township 84 km south-east of Christchurch historical Akaroa was founded in August 1840 by French settler
Track localization. Akaroa had a population of 756 at the 2018 New Zealand census. We drove about 120 km to reach our destination for the day. Once out of Christchurch, the road reminded us of the song : „The long and winding road“. But good driving; relaxed in NZ.
