My last 3 bikes were all BMW Boxer: first came the RT 1150, a good companion for the tour on roads, and than twcie the GS (stands for „Gelände Sport“), first a GS 1100 and then the GS 1150.
The GS is truly the perfect bike. I made trips up to 5.000 kilometers (to Bergen/Norway for example.). No single technical problem during 120.000 kms on those 3 bikes.
My second and third bikes were Hondas: 1st a 400 CBN and thereafter a CBN 500. Both very solid bikes; good fun on bendy streets but not well suited for long trips.
